FABIAN, Anne (nee Nagy)

With her family at her side, Anne passed away peacefully in her eighty-sixth year at Villa Mont-Royal on March 1, 2011.
Born in the village of Edelény in rural Hungary on July 28, 1925 to Sandor and Lidia Nagy, she was four years old when she emigrated to Montreal during the Great Depression.
She is survived by her loving husband and partner of 68 years, Jerry. She was the dearly loved mother of Barbie, Gary and his wife Shelly, the cherished grandmother of Veronica, Alexander and Sabrina, and proud great-grandmother of Joel and Tristan. She will be fondly remembered by her brother, Barney (Helen) Nagy and sister Irene (Albert) Lowe, brother-in-law, Bert Fabian, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, Quebec H2V 2P9 (514) 279-6540 where the family will receive condolences at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, Parkinson Society of Canada or charity of your choice will be appreciated.
