It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing Mr. Allan Downie on Monday, January 31st, 2011 at the Lachine Hospital. We are comforted to know that he passed away with his wife Judy and daughter Cindy at his side. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Judy, his 8 cherished children Ken (Brenda), Jim (Bridget), Bob (Jennifer), Tom, Scott (Trudie), Sean (Sheryll Jane), Scott T. (Laura) and Cindy (Wayne) , 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother Ron (Jane), sister Allana as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.
His family will receive condolences on Friday, February 4th, 2011 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, (514) 685-3344. A Legion service will follow at 3 p.m. in the Rideau Chapel. As a sign of sympathy, a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
