THOMAS, Alan Douglas

1921-2010
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Alan on December 3rd, 2010 after a brief illness. Alan was born in Shrewsbury, England on October 2, 1921. From 1941 until 1946, he served in the Royal Air force; he was employed by Prudential Assurance in Montreal from 1946 until retirement in 1982. He is pre-deceased by his wife of over 60 years, Evelyn (nee Clayton), and his brother Albert in England. Alan will be fondly remembered by his relatives Mary Thomas, Louise and Tom Wallace, Audrey MacDowell and Sheila Carson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his many friends in Bobcaygeon, Ontario.
Memorial service will take place at 2:15 pm on Saturday December 11th at the Church of Saint John the Baptist, 233 St. Claire Ave., Pointe-Claire, Quebec In lieu of flowers, donations to West Island Palliative Care, 245 Andre Brunet, Kirkland H9H 3R4 would be appreciated.
