SYKES Kenneth
1931-2017
MAGNUS POIRIER INC.It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Ken, peacefully in his sleep, at the age of 85. Predeceased by his beloved wife Kay, he was a loving father to Robert and Linda (Rob) and the dear grandfather of Meaghan (Patrick), Lauren, and Katie (Josh). Ken was born and raised in Montreal where he met and married his high school sweetheart. He was very artistic and applied his many creative talents to a long and successful career in advertising. An avid football fan, he enthusiastically supported the Alouettes over many seasons of home games. He also loved listening to music, enjoyed the theatre and the ballet and took great pleasure in spending time at the cottage in Christieville, QC., where he and Kay eventually built a new home to which they later retired. Although he was a quiet man of few words, his kindness and gentle nature was well known to all that loved him. He will be truly missed. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 25th at 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service and reception at St. Francis of the Birds Anglican Church, 94 Avenue St. Denis, St. Sauveur, QC. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
